I switch in 2014 and never went back. The learning curve is something you need to be aware of and also the fact you need to buy other apps as well. For example I have these apps accompanying my Affinity suite: Hype4, Pixelmator and Art Text plus a free app that is a Figma alternative called Penpot. Why? I keep hoping that we’ll be able to package Flash-grade animations as WASM and send them out as a single file (or as two files, one for a Haxe-like runtime and another for the game or animation). But since there is no real standard authoring tool (and nobody mentions those, or the ease of use the Flash “IDE” had) I don’t have much hope. Settlers VI is functional under Linux using WINE, but I expect Photon would work better. As for Adobe software, which bits do you need? Krita covers Photoshop and Illustrator in one, and we use Saola Animate for our Flash replacement at my digital signage company, which can work under WINE perfectly well, or in a VM.
