  It's got a learning curve because it's super customizable even for other non DND rpgs, but it does DND the best in my experience, but I love v1.dicecloud.com. Source: almost 2 years ago

• Is V1 staying around?

  I had a play alarmedley message me to say her character had disappeared. No worries, turns out the main site link now leads to V2, not V1, which has it's own link at https://v1.dicecloud.com/ - but it does have me worried that my party's character's are jeopardised long-term, especially as we have no desire to transfer to the new version. • Made a Custom GPT4 that functions as a DM for DnD 5E.

  So I added the pdf for the player rulebook, monster manual, and command cheatsheet for the avrae discord bot found on dndbeyond.com as a tool to help run games through discord. Basically my idea was to create a DM or DM tool that could generate a story for you to play or generate the materials you would than use as a DM. Source: about 1 year ago

  Read? Most anything having to do with the class and race/species you want to play in addition to some of the basic rules. dndbeyond.com/how-to-play-dnd can potentially be a great resource so long as you are playing the 5th Edition of the game. It WILL seem like a daunting amount of information, but it is manageable if you limit what you learn to the necessities and learn the rest as you play. If you click on that...   There are countless videos on YouTube around how they play at the tabletop, but I think the best place to start would actually be dndbeyond.com. You will be locked to the basics, but you can get an idea from character building there because you can create characters and see how stats impact rolls and explore class features. You won't have to buy anything if you don't want to to start with. Here is a link to the basic rules you can look over to get a feel for the rules and what game play is like.
