Is there an adjacent OS to ChromeOS Flex (not other Linux distros) that is independent of Google, like there are custom ROMs against Android? I was looking for something like Chrome OS and finally installed fydeOS. Now I can run android apps without android_x86 and feel the super theme given from google. This works great and better performance compared to the brunch framework. Now I can run both Linux and Chrome OS on a single device. I can also use parental controls for my younger sister.
