Overall my experience with Aternos have been great, it has been pretty simple to manage, and starts up quick once everything has been set up.
Probably the one reason why I wouldn't always choose aternos to host a simple, free Minecraft server with friends, would be the fact you can't upload your own mods/plugins to the server, they must already be chosen by the staff which can be annoying.
you make life too difficult mods complicated to install just give a list of all of the installed mods make the server always running not that hard you smurf why can’t I just remove one mod without removing all mods that is so stupid you guys are morons playing minecraft with ONE other person should not be this damn hard fix your shit and get a better name aternos sounds stupid
Authough you can only run spigot and no forge on It its still fast but no mods only pluggins.

So I've had this server on server.pro for like 3 years now, and I've never had problems before. I'm on the 4GB plan for reference. Recently, whenever I try to make a new world or switch what world I'm playing on, the most recent world gets deleted. At first, I thought it was a space thing so I deleted other worlds to make space. I have been trying to get voice chat to work on my Minecraft server on server.pro and I have tried changing the port in the config files to redownloading and replacing the mods on both client and server side. I have done simple voice chat on previous versions of Minecraft but the last time I did use voice chat was 1.18. Whether it's a 1.20.1 thing being annoying on server.pro I don't know. Aternos is really good for multiple reasons. 1.The address and code never change. when you want to play on the server just press the start button and it starts. 2.There is no queue. It means that you don't have to wait when starting your server. 3.There is no lag. The server runs very smoothly. 4.you can have up to 20 players. I only play with 7 so 20 is plenty for me.
